Dragon

Ok. This one is an incredibly long personal project. Started sculpting this girl (kinda obvious) back in the beginning of 2018. Just as a sculpt training, without any backthoughts about the anatomy or using this sculp as anything anywhere. Shapes and curves all that mattered.
One of the reasons I've sculpted each scale separately (symmetry of course) with simple ClayTubes brush. Was my type of meditation in certain evenings.
She got stocked in a backlog for more than a year, when I found her on the drive and realised it would be fun to retopologize her and do the texturing.
This little one went with me through the hardest and the most dangerous parts of my life. Covid isolation, russian invasion, being a fugitive, 5 relocations through appartments, cities, countries. Different realities.
So this project is very personal in a very peculiar way. Pretty much letting go a huge part of myself.
Knowing that she's not perfect, scared more then when I usually post anything anywhere. But still. I do want to let her go.

Want to mention huge credit and thank you for illustrious painter Larry Elmore ( https://larryelmore.com/ ), who visualized huge fantasy worlds for me and thousands of other folks seeing his illustrations while reading beloved books. The one that I grew up with was Dragonlance. So it's important to say that my inspiration came from there.
Will stop my writings here, Even if there's a lot I could say.
Thank you for viewing and reading up till this place.

Please do remeber to help and support Ukraine in every possible way. This fight is important beyond imagination and very far from over.
Hugs.
